Blackberry Farm, is a 4,200-acre luxury hotel and cottage retreat, located in Walland, Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is home to 62 estate and cottage rooms.  One of America’s favorite intimate luxury small hotels, Blackberry Farm has received many accolades from Conde Naste Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Zagat Travel Guide, Southern Living Readers’ Choice, Departures, Wines Spectator and USA Today. In addition these structures have been featured in many publications including Southern Accents, Traditional Home, and O Magazine. Blackberry won the 2003 Zagat survey for Best Small Hotel in 2004.

Spitzmiller and Norris recently completed a 19 plus year collaboration at Blackberry Farm. They have designed numerous renovations for the “Main House”, designed the widely published signature Boat House, Oak Cottage, Chestnut Cottage, Yallahammer Pavilion, Holly Glade Cottages, Singing Brook Cottages and the Hill Cottages. They have also designed several private residences including The Maple Cottage and the proprietor’s home for Sam and Mary Celeste Beall.
