This board and batten cottage just outside the bustle of Highlands, NC is nestled into a quiet mountainside. Originally a simple 2-story dorm looking structure with alpine detailing, the owners decided to enlarge and open up the house. Large windows, porches both screened and open across the rear of the house add much needed light and take advantage of the breathtaking views. A large great room with a hearthed fireplace provides a central gathering place for family and friends.
